IPS Group is a well-established business operating within the Construction Industry, with a strong presence in the UK market.

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team as a Financial Director, providing strategic financial leadership and support to our business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide a set of monthly management accounts, actuals and forecast, including a detailed profit loss, balance sheet analysis and cash flow for each site and the Group as a whole.
  • Investigate and explain variances in the management account compared to forecast.
  • Manage the Group's treasury function, including reconciliation of bank statements, processing ad hoc and BACS payments and receipts.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsibility for preparation and submission of HMRC returns (VAT, PAYE, CIS) and any relevant queries arising.
  • Weekly KPI reporting, including sales performance and short-term cash flow.
  • Manage annual audit and preparation of statutory returns.
  • Develop and improve systems to support operational efficiency across the organisation.

**Requirements**

Previous experience gained operating within the Construction/House Building Sector is highly desirable. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant to develop into a Financial Director role within a fast-paced owner-managed construction group.
