Job Title: Approved Mental Health Professional

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional to join their team. As an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will be responsible for undertaking timely Mental Health Act assessments of clients in various settings, preparing reports, and making applications to the Magistrates Court for warrants under the Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake timely Mental Health Act assessments of clients in the community, psychiatric hospitals, and other relevant settings.
  • To prepare reports and make applications to the Magistrates Court for warrants under the Mental Health Act.
  • To ensure that professional registration is kept up to date alongside AMHP requirements and take ownership of own professional development.
  • To have an understanding of and respect for people's qualities, abilities, and diverse backgrounds.
  • To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job.

Requirements:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body (Social Care England).
