Research and Development Specialist

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join its Department of Biochemistry as a Research Assistant/Associate. The successful applicant will work closely with Professor Ben Luisi in the laboratory to develop a research project in bacterial RNA biology or membrane protein assemblies.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong aptitude for scientific research, and a keen interest in teaching and mentoring students at various levels. A PhD degree in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, along with previous research experience, is highly desirable.
The position is a great opportunity for an ambitious graduate to gain research experience in an international academic environment and contribute to the University's mission of supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a research project, conducting experiments, and analyzing data. They will also have the opportunity to teach and mentor students, as well as contribute to the University's research community.
