Sales Specialist

About the Role
Abcam is seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Specialist to join our EMEA sales team. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, developing commercial skills, and generating revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new leads, contacts, and opportunities, and qualify and close quotations for orders in select geographic territories.
- Proactively research accounts, manage incoming inquiries, make outbound calls, and attend customer visits in assigned territories.
- Work closely with the EMEA sales team and support other sales team members and direct management to develop best practices.
- Develop and implement a proactive strategy for prospecting new business, including researching accounts, lead qualification, and customer outreach.
- Adopt the Sales Cloud CRM system and use its functionality to manage leads, opportunities, and provide insight into accounts.
Requirements
- BSc in a life science discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ability to engage customers and potential customers quickly, both virtually and face-to-face.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Commercial experience or evidence of a commercial mindset, preferably within the life science reagents market.
