Niyaa People Ltd is a top social housing provider seeking a reliable and skilled Multiskilled Joiner to join our team on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Northampton area, with potential for a permanent position at the end of the three-month contract.

About the Role:

  • This position requires a skilled joiner to carry out reactive maintenance on council properties, including 2nd fix joinery, basic plumbing, lock changes, and finishing skills like patch plastering.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship and meeting the needs of our customers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reactive maintenance on council properties, including repairs and replacements as necessary.
  • Carrying out 2nd fix joinery tasks to ensure seamless completion of building projects.
  • Basic plumbing skills are essential for this role, including unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and installing fixtures.
  • Lock changes and key cutting services are also required to ensure the security of our properties.
  • Familiarity with finishing skills, such as patch plastering, is essential for maintaining high standards of finish.

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced multiskilled joiner who can hit the ground running.
  • A valid driving license and ability to travel to various locations within the Northampton area are essential for this role.
