About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Day Ward at our Practice Plus Group Hospital in Ilford. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to our nursing staff and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to nursing staff and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Welcome and greet patients to the department, assist with preparing patients for theatre, and ensure all patient test results are in their file.
  • Assist with ordering and monitoring of stores and stock, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth running of the ward.

Requirements

  • Experience or a good understanding of HCA duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and willingness to undertake training to gain further clinical skills.
