About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Day Ward at our Practice Plus Group Hospital in Ilford.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients, working closely with the nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

You will be responsible for supporting the professional staff with the overall care for all patients in the department, welcoming and greeting patients, assisting in preparing patients for Theatre, and ensuring all patient tests results are in patients file for surgery.

We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, learn and develop in the role, but most importantly someone who understands the value of team work and a good work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of care to patients.
  • Welcome and greet patients to the department.
  • Assist in preparing patients for Theatre.
  • Ensure all patient tests results are in patients file for surgery.
  • Assist in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock.
