About the RoleWe are seeking dedicated Residential Support Staff to join our team at a specialist residential unit supporting pupils with special educational needs. As a Residential Support Staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils during their time at the residential unit, including participating in activities, trips, and evening routines.
- Provide care in line with the school's therapeutic approach to behaviour and learning.
- Assist with personal care and housekeeping duties as needed.
- Help create a safe, nurturing environment for students' personal, social, and emotional development.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Social Care (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards supporting young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
