Care Home Kitchen Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Go To Outsourcing. As a key member of our care home kitchen team, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving delicious meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for 30+ people in one sitting.
  • Cook from fresh produce and English-style dishes.
  • Work effectively in a small team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Be aware of good nutrition and cater for special dietary requirements.
  • Be comfortable with IDDSI training and adapt to new procedures.

Requirements:

  • 12+ months experience as a Kitchen Assistant in a care setting.
  • Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS (one can be applied for).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 8-10 hour shifts between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
