Senior Clinical Lead for Complex Needs

The Children's Therapy Services at Sirona care & health CIC identify, assess, support, and manage the health needs of children and young people aged 0-18 years, working closely with children and their families in health settings and family homes; and with education colleagues in early years and school Children's Therapy services cover Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.
Main Responsibilities- Practice as a highly specialist clinical practitioner, providing expertise, support, supervision, teaching, advice, and consultation across the region.
- Offer highly specialist clinical expertise within paediatric dysphagia and complex needs communication support, and carry a highly specialist case load within this area.
- Provide an outreach dysphagia assessment and therapy service to children with complex needs in mainstream schools.
- Provide dysphagia and communication assessment and therapy support as required to children in special schools within the region.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team around the child.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead for Dysphagia to manage the Speech & Language Therapy Service to children with Complex Needs.
- Support the team through the transformation of their service, currently underway, in collaboration with Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service transformations.
- Hold line management responsibilities of some staff and be responsible for holding team meetings.
- Support the overview of locality performance on RTTs and EHCP targets.
- Provide clinical and day-to-day leadership within Complex Needs (including dysphagia) and be a first point of contact for the team for queries and concerns.
