Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Building Clerk of Works to join our team at Maxim Recruitment. As a Senior Building Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects across Greater London and the home counties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of construction work
  • Verify compliance with contractual drawings, warranty standards, and employer's requirements
  • Prepare detailed written reports with supporting photographs to a high standard and submit in a timely manner
  • Identify and communicate defects to the relevant parties and ensure they are addressed
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with building regulations and compliance

Requirements

  • Previous experience in inspecting new-build and refurbishment projects
  • Proven track record of writing well-presented reports to a high standard
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good technical knowledge and ability to read construction drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, with Excel skills desirable
  • Full driving license required

Desirable Qualifications

  • Clerk of Works ICWIC accreditation
  • Other relevant designations such as CIOB, CABE, RICS, IFE

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of £45,000 to £48,000 dependant on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and incentives.
