About the Role

Achieving for Children is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised professional to join our team as a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialised teaching and support to students with a hearing loss across Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support for children with hearing loss, ensuring they have access to the National Curriculum in compliance with the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (2014) and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
  • Collaborate with schools, colleges, and settings to enhance their capacity for inclusivity, providing training, advice, and teaching strategies.
  • Promote inclusion by facilitating the integration of students with a hearing loss into mainstream educational settings through early intervention, technology solutions, and staff development.
