Position Overview: We are seeking a Project Process Specialist to contribute to an innovative initiative within our operations. This role is pivotal in the establishment and execution of a new Ash Washing program, collaborating extensively across various departments.

Compensation: The Project Process Specialist position offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £70,000, commensurate with experience, along with a car allowance and a robust benefits package.

Flexibility: The role requires the ability to travel across multiple sites, with the option to be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Ash Washing project, ensuring the successful development and implementation of the new process across the organization.
  • Lead project teams throughout the project lifecycle, including the selection and management of key subcontractors.
  • Manage all mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the project, including procurement, installation, and maintenance of systems, as well as site infrastructure construction and process implementation.
  • Provide technical support to project teams and clients, offering solutions to optimize processes and resolve issues.
  • Handle change control through Early Warning Notices (EWN) and Compensation Events (CEN), keeping senior teams informed throughout the project.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture in all project activities, aligning with company values and behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, permits, and site regulations.
  • Travel between sites to manage various sub-programs within the overall project, which may include extended periods away from home.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop project specifications, updating the project program as necessary.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A degree-level technical engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical disciplines.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering capital expenditure projects (CAPEX).
  • Strong understanding of process optimization and planning in chemical, process, or construction projects.
  • Industry experience in Waste Management, Energy from Waste, or Chemical Processing sectors.
  • Experience in Project Management and Contractor Management, with a recognized project management qualification being desirable.
  • A valid UK driving license.
