We are seeking a skilled Clinical Skills Assessor to join our team at DS Associates in Gloucester. As a Functional Assessor, you will utilize your clinical expertise to evaluate the impact of disabilities on daily life and work-related activities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as a registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist, with a valid PIN and registration with a relevant UK regulatory body. You will be responsible for conducting file-work, face-to-face, and telephone/video assessments, providing comprehensive reports to support informed decision-making at DWP.
Comprehensive training will equip you with the necessary skills to support customers and transfer your current skills and knowledge to the required level. You will have access to ongoing CPD, support with revalidation, and opportunities for career development within the organization.
Key requirements include:
- one year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist
- fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN
- excellent observational and communication skills, enabling you to listen, empathize, and dig deeper
- ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute
