Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our supportive clinical pharmacy team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients across both our hospitals, Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General.

Main Responsibilities

The post-holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical pharmacy services to patients across both hospitals
  • Working closely with the clinical pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective prescribing and management of medication
  • Participating in the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services
  • Providing education and training to junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
  • Undertaking audits and service improvement projects within clinical pharmacy

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A United Kingdom recognised Degree in Pharmacy
  • Completed and passed the first year of Post Graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative

Working Arrangements

The post-holder will be required to work across both hospitals, with some flexibility to work at other sites as required. The post is full-time, with a 37-hour working week. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rota and work unsociable hours as required.
