About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead our Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Service and contribute to the overall management of the service. As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for supervising a team of child psychotherapists and other junior clinicians, as well as delivering reflective practice to staff groups across the trust.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a range of assessments and psychotherapy interventions to children and young people, including those with complex mental health needs. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing service improvements, and you will play a key role in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Service and contribute to the overall management of the service
- Supervise a team of child psychotherapists and other junior clinicians
- Deliver reflective practice to staff groups across the trust
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide assessments and psychotherapy interventions to children and young people
- Develop and implement service improvements
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the service
- Doctorate level training and Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ACP accredited only)
- Training in supervision of Child Psychotherapists
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation regarding children and young people
- High level of knowledge, expertise, competence, and skill in current models and methods of practice of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
- Completion of post-graduate training in specialist area of clinical work
- Knowledge and awareness of the issues related to working with children and young people in a paediatric healthcare setting
