Single-Cell Genomics Analyst Role

The Earlham Institute is seeking a highly skilled Spatial Transcriptomics Data Analyst to join our team in the Papatheodorou Research Group. As a leading hub of life science research, training, and innovation, we are focused on understanding the natural world through the lens of genomics.
About the Role:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics data analysis. You will be part of a collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology, including high-performance computing facilities and expertise. Our team specializes in developing and testing the latest tools and approaches needed to decode living systems and make predictions about biology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret spatial transcriptomics data to reveal insights into cellular behavior and gene expression.
• Develop and implement new methods for analyzing spatial transcriptomics data.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists to design experiments and analyze results.
• Communicate complex scientific findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related subject.
• Experience of working on single-cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics data.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
What We Offer:
• Salary: £36,720 - £39,750 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
• A full-time post for a contract of 24 months.
