About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Interaction Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our client, a rapidly growing company in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Manage cash flow forecasts to ensure the company's financial liquidity and optimal resource allocation.
  • Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly accounts, offering detailed analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing budget monitoring to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Credit Management: Manage the credit control process, working closely with customers to maintain positive cash flow and reduce credit risks.
  • Collaboration with the Purchasing Department: Work with the purchasing team to ensure costs are tracked, products are accurately categorized, and financial data is aligned with operational objectives.
  • Product Categorization: Ensure products are properly categorized to maintain clear financial records.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide financial analysis to support the Finance Director in decision-making processes and growth strategies.
Requirements
  • AAT Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in management accounting, particularly in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and monthly account preparation
  • Strong understanding of credit management and working with customers on the credit side
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, including purchasing, to align financial goals
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience within the automotive industry is desirable but not essential
