Caretaker Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Caretaker to join our team at Plymtree Primary School on a permanent, part-time basis. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the site and grounds are cleaned and maintained to contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on-site under the direction of an area supervisor to maintain the site and grounds.
  • Ensuring equipment and products used in carrying out your role are properly managed, including inventory and safe storage.
  • Supporting with general maintenance issues and being responsible for site security and minor handyman duties.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training and support will be provided for enthusiastic individuals.
  • Capable of delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Confident working both on your own and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with the client.
  • Comfortable engaging with members of the public.
  • Any knowledge of health & safety guidelines relevant to the role would be an advantage.
