Maintenance Operative Role

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our depot, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and report any faults or issues to the Depot Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized depot, adhering to company standards.
  • Assist in carrying out work on site, following Health and Safety regulations at all times.
  • Follow maintenance schedules as directed by the Depot Supervisor to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Identify and report potential risks, taking proactive steps to minimize cost and operational impact.
  • Adhere to Company Safe Systems of Work and Company Rule Book, maintaining the highest standards.
  • Document and report maintenance issues/repair work.
  • Attend regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a strong H&S culture.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
