Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant - Blood Donation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Donor Centres and community sessions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional care to our donors, ensuring their experience is positive and safe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in training to learn how to insert needles into donors' arms to achieve blood donation units.
  • Provide care and support to donors throughout their donation journey.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of donor information.
  • Build relationships with donors to encourage repeat donations and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure the safe handling and management of blood products, needles, and equipment.

About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and a willingness to learn. You should have experience in dealing with the public and delivering quality customer service. A good standard of numeracy and literacy is also essential. If you are willing to undertake development and training to upskill yourself, including completion of the Skills for Health Care Certificate, we would love to hear from you.
