About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Services Inspector to join our team at Hightown Housing Association. As a key member of our property services team, you will be responsible for conducting stock condition surveys of our properties to ensure they meet the Decent Homes Standard.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in building construction, surveying, or a related field, and experience working with a housing association or local authority maintenance department. You will also possess excellent communication and customer care skills, as well as a good general knowledge of IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting stock condition surveys to assess the age and condition of each building element
  • Collecting property data and stock condition data and ensuring it is promptly recorded on our property database
  • Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments to communal areas on a regular basis
  • Post-inspecting works and exercising financial control to ensure invoices are processed and paid in accordance with financial regulations
  • Pre-inspecting works to investigate, identify, and diagnose building defects and produce solutions by actioning remedial repairs and maintenance works
