Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Banqueting Operation Team Member to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our Conference and Banqueting team, you will be responsible for assisting the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager and Supervisor in the preparation, presentation, and service of banquet food & beverage procedures to ensure the highest quality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager and Supervisor in the preparation, presentation, and service of banquet food & beverage procedures.
  • Assist with the setup of conferences and events according to function sheets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for our clients.
  • Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager in liaison with the Food & Beverage department.
  • Attend and contribute to M&E Meetings.
  • Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Supervisor/Manager in maintaining a record system, including files on all previous functions, banquet reservation books, customer contact files, sales solicitation programs, room utilization, menu files, and promotion files.
  • Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager in following up on business referrals and potential sales leads.
  • Ensure that last-minute arrangements made by clients are implemented.
  • Familiarize yourself with all phases of equipment and materials relating to functions and conferences.
  • Showcase hotel facilities to prospective clients and sell the benefits of our services.
  • Ensure that banquet service personnel have properly made all necessary arrangements and preparations with kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, and other departments regarding function arrangements.
  • Check all accounts and refer discrepancies to the Conference & Banqueting Operation Supervisor.
  • Familiarize yourself with all government laws pertaining to banquets, exhibitions, and outside catering to assist any prospect or booked clients and ensure that clients adhere strictly to these regulations.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide a positive experience for clients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
