Assistant Team Manager - Safeguarding and Reviewing Service

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Assistant Team Manager to join our Safeguarding and Reviewing Service in Hackney Council. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for covering both Child Protection and Looked After Children Processes, including duty safeguarding consultations and chairing Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Safeguarding and Reviewing Service team
  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding and reviewing processes
  • Chair Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Reviews
  • Provide guidance and support to social workers and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development of the service and its policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional social work degree
  • Current registration with the Social Work England
  • Proven experience in safeguarding and reviewing
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
