About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC). As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing education, training, and technical support across our wide range of company brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out product site trials to secure new business and audit existing sites to verify rebate claims.
  • Provide project site support and knowledge across all ranges to maintain and grow sales across RWC brands.
  • Visit and maintain regular contact with RWC specified sites on a 6-8 week rota where required.
  • Assist the quality department and sales regions by investigating technical complaints linked to our product portfolio.
  • Support installers to ensure technical guidelines and best practices are followed during installation of our products.
  • Assist in creating demand for RWC product brands by identifying new sites and developments.
  • Attend exhibitions, seminars, and trade counter mornings to support independent and national retail accounts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date SFDC system, logging customer activity and managing cases through our customer record system.
  • Attend technical and sales meetings.
  • Be well-presented and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Achieve objectives agreed with the line manager on a quarterly basis.
  • Nurture and develop a pipeline of business through effective project management across RWC brands.
  • Obtain and identify new business opportunities through interaction with new installers and sites.
  • Support the Marketing Team with projects such as creating product-specific case studies.
  • Provide training across the business on our full product range offering.
  • Support the New Product Development Team with the launch of new products.
  • Ensure regular contact with the Plumbing and Heating sales team regarding new demand targets and site support.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to cultivate new and existing relationships.
  • Solutions-oriented approach.
  • Tenacious approach towards prospecting new opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels.
  • Knowledge of the industry across all platforms of our brands.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating.
  • Domestic and commercial experience desired.

  • Ability to use initiative to support overcoming problems with solutions.
  • Able to cultivate relationships at different levels.

Commercial Acumen

Industry knowledge advantageous.
