About the Role:

The Lounge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional food quality and service. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen operations are safe, efficient, and meet the highest standards.

You will have previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager and possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of fresh food preparation, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading shifts, managing stocks, Health & Safety, and Hygiene, upholding 5* kitchen standards. You will ensure food quality and timeliness, manage the pass, and collaborate with the Head Chef to achieve high standards.

You will also be responsible for delivering training and recruitment, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the development of new menu ideas.

As a member of our management team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

You will be driven, relentless in delivering high standards, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Existing Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager experience
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills
  • Driven and relentless in delivering high standards
  • Familiar with KPIs and decision-making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

You will also need to possess a strong knowledge of best practices around rota scheduling, sales, and labour forecasts.
