About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Dunlarg care home in County Armagh. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with intimate personal needs, ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff or the primary nurse and documenting as appropriate.
  • Monitor and allocate work for care assistants, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain good professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
  • Administer medicines as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care home setting
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Medications experience within a care setting
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Educated to a minimum GCSE/NVQ 3 or above (or similar qualification) with a good standard of English
