Role Overview: Care Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

A crucial aspect of this position involves assisting individuals with diverse and complex needs, guiding them in managing their emotional well-being.

Resilience, effective communication, and the ability to employ various communication methods are essential skills for this role.

Our committed team works diligently to empower service users in developing their independence skills, which encompass activities such as shopping, maintaining their living space, personal hygiene, community engagement, financial management, and medication administration. Each team member brings unique strengths to the role, and we encourage the use of humor, creativity, and a positive approach in daily interactions with our service users.

Work Environment: Praxis Care

The work setting is a vibrant community where residents enjoy engaging in various activities, ensuring that each day is tailored to meet individual preferences and needs. Typical activities may include attending sports events, enjoying nature walks, participating in recreational games, or facilitating family interactions. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with personal care, cooking, and helping residents acquire new skills. All tasks aim to foster greater independence among service users.

Induction training will require evening hours for a brief period to ensure that the individuals we support can familiarize themselves with the staff prior to the commencement of their duties.

Salary Information:

Support Specialist

Full-Time Contracts Available

£21,557 per annum*

*Salary based on a 39-hour work week. Additional compensation applies for sleep-in duties.
