About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Dunlarg care home in County Armagh. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with intimate personal needs, ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.
  • Monitor and allocate the work for care assistants.
  • Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
  • Administer medicines as required.
