Nuclear Instrumentation Specialist

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Nuclear Instrumentation Specialist to join their team at Sellafield, Cumbria. The successful candidate will work on a new framework/project and will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and testing Radiation Protection Instruments.
This role offers a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 - £65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus great benefits, pension, and career progression opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant disciplines, such as Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology fields. They should also possess 5 GCSEs or equivalent (at Grade C or above) including English, a Science subject, and Maths at a minimum of Grade B.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely in accordance with all safety, quality, security, environmental, and site instructions and requirements.
- Provide technical advice and updates on work progress to customers as required.
- Act as a mentor for other team members, including apprentices and new entrants to the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant disciplines.
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent (at Grade C or above) including English, a Science subject, and Maths at a minimum of Grade B.
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.
