E-7 Simulator Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the E7 aircraft at RAF Lossiemouth. We are seeking highly skilled simulation technicians to maintain and support the training equipment throughout its lifecycle.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in synthetic training, preferably in a military aviation context. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical abilities, and a customer-focused approach are essential for success in this role.

You will be responsible for routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repair activities, as well as mentoring and guiding more junior colleagues. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a two-shift system, Monday to Friday, covering the full training schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support initial installation, commissioning, and operation of E7 training equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, reconfiguration, and modification of Training Devices and other electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Administer and troubleshoot servers and networks, provide maintenance of system security tools, administration of user's system access controls, and monitor system performance.

You will also be responsible for maintaining system documentation and records, performing general pre-operations, post-operations, and configuration of training systems, and supporting major system modification or fault rectification.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
