Job title: Instructor - Synthetic Environment Specialist

Location: RAF Lossiemouth

**Salary**: £65,073 (Dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:
The role requires a an individual to work in four functional environments:

- As a classroom-based educator with in-depth technical knowledge of Typhoon aircraft systems
- As a mission facilitator, orchestrating and manipulating the synthetic environment to deliver pilots’ training aims
- As a Synthetic Environment Specialist, using the provided planning tools to design and develop relevant environments that are key to achieving the appropriate level of training and realism
- And as a tactics expert, conversant with the employment of 7 different weapon types in swing-role missions set in globally variable theatres of operations-at multiple levels of security classification.

Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Military qualification as Airspace Battle Manager/Weapons Controller or equivalent, or Joint Tactical Air Controller or equivalent
- Instructional qualification(s) and experience both live and specific, ie UK Military ABM or JTAC Qualification
- Experience working with the development of Synthetic Environments
- Previous experience with Typhoon operations and training

The Typhoon Training Facility:
As part of the Typhoon Training Facility (North) team, the challenge is immense, but further interest value comes from the introduction of new simulators, with new software, and an expanding mission set. The networked nature of the new devices will require joint working with other Defence contractors (Boeing Defence UK, Inzpire) as part of the GLADIATOR programme, which will deliver collective synthetic training for multiple customers in a single synthetic environment.
