Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Electronics Summer Placement Programme. As an Electronics Engineer, you will work on real-time projects alongside leading scientists and engineers, developing your skills and knowledge in areas such as requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, applied research, and test.

You will have the opportunity to learn about a Leonardo product through placement within a real project team and contribute to solving real-life engineering problems on state-of-the-art avionics sensor systems.

This is a 13-week paid work placement (with holidays), offering a chance to gain practical experience and develop your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible for this programme, you must be working towards (a) a minimum of 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as an MSc or PhD, in Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, or another relevant discipline.

You should demonstrate an interest in one or more of the disciplines within hardware engineering, including RF, Microwave, Power supply, EMC, FPGA, and high-speed digital.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £18,000-£20,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
