Automation Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automation Support Engineer to join our team at Müller Milk & Ingredients. As an Automation Support Engineer, you will play a key role in developing systems and people to improve site automation performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide reactive support for site automation issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to production.
  2. Own and deliver minor automation Capex projects, from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with site and group objectives.
  3. Collaborate with the Automation Development team to support project delivery of other site projects with automation elements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  4. Maintain and monitor the use of automation and electrical system software, ensuring version control and documentation are up-to-date and compliant with group standards.
  5. Liaise with the Automation Development team to ensure site-specific requirements are incorporated into group-level automation and electrical standards.
  6. Evaluate performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, driving efficiency and operability gains within production.
  7. Ensure compliance with group electrical and automation standards for site-delivered projects and general improvement works.
  8. Support the site roadmaps for Quality, HS, EMS, Engineering, and Autonomous maintenance, ensuring alignment with group objectives.
  9. Deliver on-the-job training to new colleagues, sharing expertise and knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements:
  1. Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.
  2. Excellent electrical skills and knowledge.
  3. Ability to work independently on projects.
  4. Previous experience in a similar Automation Engineer role.
  5. FMCG industry experience is highly desirable.
  6. Proficiency in IT systems and tools.
