Job Description:

The Automation Support Engineer will be responsible for developing systems and people to improve site automation performance, providing reactive support for site automation issues, and owning minor (site managed) automation Capex projects through the full project life cycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley, and strong electrical skills. Previous experience in a similar Automation role and previous FMCG experience are beneficial. The candidate must be IT literate and have a strong understanding of automation systems and electrical controls.

The Automation Support Engineer will work closely with the Automation Development team to ensure site criticality is a key element of the group level and will be responsible for obsolescence management within the roadmap.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including site improvement initiatives and specialist automation support to site improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Strong PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley
  • Strong electrical skills
  • Previous experience in a similar Automation role
  • Previous FMCG experience (beneficial)
  • Must be IT literate
