Sanctuary Personnel, a specialist recruitment agency, has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring the well-being and safety of children in their care.

The salary for this position is up to £43,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality services to vulnerable young people.

Job Responsibilities:
  • To provide expert advice and support to foster carers, addressing any challenges they may face in caring for children.
  • To work closely with the Registered Manager and other team members to develop and implement effective child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • To contribute to the development and facilitation of training programs for foster carers, promoting continuous improvement in the quality of care provided.
  • To ensure that foster carers have a comprehensive understanding of the agency's policies and procedures.
  • To match and place children with suitable foster carers, considering the needs of both the child and the carer.
  • To undertake regular visits to foster homes, monitoring the welfare and safety of children in their care.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' post-qualifying social work experience, with a focus on family-related work and ASYE completion.
  • Valid DBS and HCPC registration are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to illustrate high-level social work competence and assessment skills.
  • A productivity bonus of up to £7,200 per annum, dependent on caseload.
  • Stakeholder Pension Scheme.
  • £3,000 per annum travel allowance, covering costs incurred from using a car and petrol or purchasing a train travel card.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
