Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Entech Technical Solutions Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manufacturing System Management: Responsible for the management of the manufacturing system within allocated manufacturing cells in a manual assembly production facility, with products involving a mix of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic assembly.
  2. Process Improvement: Create, maintain, and continually improve safe and lean assembly and test processes for existing and new products.
  3. Documentation and Implementation: Document, implement, own, and continuously improve the manufacturing cell's Lean manufacturing processes.
  4. Process Definition and Optimization: Accountable for the definition, set up, and optimization of the processes within the allocated manufacturing cells.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement activities and projects.
  6. Risk Assessment and Compliance: Implement and maintain risk assessments for allocated manufacturing cells, including the authoring of safe systems of work.
  7. Tooling and Equipment Specification: Specification and purchasing of the appropriate tooling and equipment for the allocated manufacturing cells.
  8. Configuration Control: Ensure configuration control of operational documentation in compliance with current regulations in terms of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  9. Non-Conformity Resolution: Ownership and accountability to resolve or support any non-conformity, internal or external, impacting the manufacturing process.
  10. Production Feedback and Lessons Learned: React to production feedback and manufacturing lessons learned to influence design revision or correction through the engineering change process.
  11. Process Documentation: Process documentation authoring, writing of procedures, and work instructions.
  12. IT Literacy and Engineering Knowledge: IT literacy - proficient user of MS Office and similar applications used in an office environment. Understands engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
Desirable Experience and Skills
  1. Engineering Qualification: Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree or engineering qualification.
  2. Lean Manufacturing Experience: Experience in implementing the principles of Lean manufacturing.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics.
  4. CAD Skills: Basic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogation.
  5. MRP/ERP System Use: MRP/ERP system use - SAP.
  6. Risk Assessments and Compliance: Risk assessments and understanding of compliance requirements to health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  7. Project Management Experience: Project management experience, including risk, schedule, and cost.
