As Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the management, leadership, and coordination of single-discipline engineering activities for an assigned project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Manage and coordinate technical risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Coordinate the management of requirements, including understanding of systems engineering principles and configuration control.
  • Manage and coordinate the development of engineering delivery baselines, including scope definition and project execution planning.
  • Engage with and oversee delivery partners and supply chain organisations, including specification of engineering and technical requirements.
  • Understand and work within the project delivery lifecycle, including nuclear industry standard gated delivery processes.

Nuclear Specific Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Experience and knowledge of the UK nuclear site licence conditions and specifically those related to engineering.
  • Knowledge of configuration controlled nuclear baseline throughout the project facility lifecycle.
  • Experience of nuclear site licence company procedures.
  • Knowledge of generic nuclear new-build safety case, including stages and key deliverables.
  • Knowledge of design substantiation process and interactions with the nuclear safety case.
  • Experience of quality control and the relationship between nuclear safety and the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of the UK nuclear and environmental regulators and their interactions with UK nuclear site licence companies.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science subject or demonstrated equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Professional membership of a relevant chartered body.
  • Proven experience working in a complex/major project engineering delivery environment, including management of engineering supply chain organisations.
  • Current SC clearance or prepared to go through the SC process.
