Seeking a talented Bioinformatician to join our team at The One Group in South Cambridge. We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 for this exciting opportunity.
About the JobThis is a senior role that requires experience in bioinformatics and software development. As a Bioinformatician, you will design, develop, and maintain tools and pipelines for data analysis. You will also lead projects and collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Python and experience with next-generation sequencing data. Familiarity with SQL databases and cloud platforms is a plus.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain bioinformatic tools and pipelines.
- Support the creation of web-based bioinformatics databases for analysis.
- Lead and organize projects, collaborating with project members and presenting updates to stakeholders and the wider business.
- At least 2 years of industrial experience in bioinformatics.
- Strong Python programming ability and experience with Python testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in analyzing next-generation sequencing data.
- SQL Databases, such as PostgreSQL.
