Strategic Indirect Procurement & SRM Manager

A prestigious, £multi-billion, global FTSE100 company seeks a highly credible and experienced Indirect Procurement professional to join their award-winning and world-class procurement function.

This high commercially performing FMCG giant has maintained their position at the forefront of the market due to ongoing transformation and innovation, as part of this growth and expansion they are investing £1 Billion annually to drive them towards their strategic procurement objectives.

Working closely alongside a visionary leadership team, the Procurement Manager will be tasked with managing the performance of business-critical accounts in order to deliver value in several key focus areas: commercial, sustainability, and digital.

Logistics is a vitally important category area for the business due to the volume and scale of their operations, allowing them to deliver an unrivalled product range both globally and regionally to their customers.

The successful procurement professional will address a broad variety of dynamic subcategories and will be tasked with managing £multi-million worth of spend, devising and implementing effective category strategies, and spearheading strategic sourcing projects across their allotted spend areas with the goal of making valuable contributions to this industry giant's indirect procurement function.

The successful candidate's character will be typified by their personable and polished nature, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to demonstrate their commercial flair, strong negotiation skills, and ability to extract value from long-term and high-value contracts.

The role will feature a large amount of engagement with c-suite senior leaders and will have significant visibility, allowing for your accomplishments to be recognized and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale procurement spend, contract management, stakeholder management, SRM, and commercial management.
  • Develop and implement effective category strategies to drive business value.
  • Spearhead strategic sourcing projects to optimize spend and improve supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification. CIPS or MCIPS qualified.
  • Strong Indirect Procurement Experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale procurement spend, contract management, stakeholder management, SRM, and commercial management.
  • Proven commercial acumen, strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills - strong SRM experience & the ability to communicate with c-suite.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with complex problem-solving.
  • Relationship-driven and adaptable under pressure.
