**About the Role**

The Wayman Learning Trust is a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Southend-on-Sea seeking a highly motivated and experienced History Teacher to join our dedicated team. This full-time permanent position focuses on delivering high-quality History education to students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver innovative History lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting critical thinking and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate closely with our SEN team to develop tailored support strategies and adapt curriculum content to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Maintain a well-organized and structured classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement from all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in History, ideally with experience in teaching SEN students and adapting content for varied needs.
  • Proven ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A clear enhanced DBS check is required to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Salary:** £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
