We are currently seeking applications for the position of Lead Counsel for Commercial Operations.

Job Location: We welcome candidates who can commute to our operational sites, with a flexible hybrid working model available.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a key legal partner to our Commercial division in the UK and Ireland, you will report directly to the General Counsel for the UK and Nordics. Your role will encompass:

  • Providing legal leadership in strategic initiatives, risk management, and commercialization efforts aligned with Teva's growth objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Business Innovation team to facilitate the successful launch and market integration of innovative products and biosimilars.
  • Engaging with regulatory bodies and internal teams to ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Assisting medical and compliance teams with regulatory submissions and audits, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
  • Working alongside governmental affairs and commercial directors to manage relationships with trade associations.
  • Coordinating with the EU IP Litigation team to navigate the complexities of launching generic medicines across European markets.
  • Driving negotiations and drafting legal agreements to support the commercialization of digital health solutions.
  • Leading legal considerations for data privacy and digitization initiatives, ensuring compliance with GDPR and related regulations.
  • Providing training and guidance to junior legal staff and managing relationships with external legal counsel.
  • Anticipating business challenges and recommending process improvements to mitigate legal risks while supporting commercial success.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, particularly in product launches.
  • Ideally UK qualified, with substantial legal experience in the UK context.
  • Proven track record in an in-house legal role with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
