In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the commercial landscape for both existing projects and new business ventures within the defense, cyber, training, and aerospace sectors. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and executing winning strategies that drive success across diverse programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of innovative commercial solutions tailored to proposals and customer requirements, encompassing complex due diligence processes.
  • Lead negotiations for a wide range of contractual agreements, effectively managing non-routine issues through senior functional management and seeking legal counsel when necessary.
  • Proactively identify and manage contract changes throughout the contract lifecycle, maximizing opportunities while mitigating risks to performance.
  • Collaborate with a multi-functional leadership team to share responsibility for program and bid financial performance.
  • Prepare compelling business cases and briefing materials for senior management reviews.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience negotiating commercial agreements within the defense, cyber, training, and aerospace industries.
  • A relevant business degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Solid understanding of import/export legislation, particularly ITAR regulations.
  • Experience in program financial management and its application to risk assessment and opportunity identification.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and drive performance through effective leadership.
  • Extensive experience in customer/subcontractor relationship management.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse government departments as either a prime contractor or subcontractor.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with international suppliers and customers throughout the program lifecycle, including collaborative working arrangements.
  • Knowledge of Teaming Agreements.
  • Multi-functional team leadership experience, encompassing coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Experience negotiating and implementing Framework Agreements.
