Role Overview

The Agricultural Business Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with farm suppliers, driving sustainable practices, and ensuring high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all farm suppliers.
  • Maintain close ties with the Site Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support business strategy development, including farm sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve animal welfare and farm hygiene standards.
  • Assist with routine farm audits.
  • Advise farmers on relevant regulations and legislation affecting the UK dairy industry.
  • Represent the company at agricultural trade shows.
  • Stay informed about trends and issues in the dairy sector.
  • Track and report milk, whey, and cream volumes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in agriculture, farming, or a related sector.
  • Degree in agriculture, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and sustainable farming practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strategic thinker to align farm operations with broader business objectives.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
