About the Role

Shaw healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Catering Assistant to join our team at Maes-Y-Wennol. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook in food preparation and presentation
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, wash up equipment unsuitable for the dishwasher
  • Clean the kitchen and equipment to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable
  • Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear of refuse
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Carry out reasonable requests as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef
  • Ensure the nutritional needs of residents are met
  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations
