Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting systems, treasury management, and accounts payable and fundraising finance income processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of the general ledger and internal controls, including prompt reconciliations of control accounts and separation of duties.
- Assistance with the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP, including liaison with external and internal auditors.
- Leadership in the preparation of the annual cash flow forecast and monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual.
- Bank reconciliations and posting of transactions, as well as management of the purchase ledger function.
- Assistance with credit control and oversight of the Fundraising Accountant role.
- Management of the Fixed Asset Register and submission of quarterly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations.
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ACMA Qualified or QBE.
- Previous experience working within a charity, desirable.
- Well-rounded experience across transactional accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and analyzing.
- Experience assisting with leading an accounts team and competence with Excel.
