About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Materials Commercial Programme. As Head of Materials Commercial Programme, you will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy and growth of our Materials Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to drive growth and revenue for the Materials Division.
  • Lead the expansion of testing activity in the MRF laboratory by creating new commercial fusion industry multiyear contracts.
  • Lead the business case development for creation of new MRF satellite/ external test facilities.
  • Promote Materials Division and MRF delivery internationally.
  • Lead new research grant/ research collaboration bids in excess of £1m.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to be commercially astute, seeking out new business opportunities and managing potential risks. You will also need to be cost conscious, acting with integrity, delivering on expectations and challenging what doesn't add value.

You will need to be STEM literate and credible, with a delivery-focused mindset and a 'can-do' approach. You will also need to be able to travel internationally, with approximately six trips per year to locations including America, Canada, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
