We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Stakeholder Manager to join our team at the Gambling Commission. As a key member of our governance team, you will be responsible for leading engagement with various stakeholders who provide input and advice to the Commission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and induct new group members, ensuring they are equipped to contribute effectively to the Commission's decision-making process.
  • Analyze and present evidence and insight to support strong decision-making, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Commission.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including representatives of the gambling industry, consumers, academics, and digital experts.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information is shared to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage conflicts of interest and ensure the Commission's high standards of governance are maintained.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholder audiences.
  • Experience of executive/non-executive stakeholder management, with a strong understanding of governance processes.
  • Ability to analyze evidence and present it in a compelling and understandable way.
  • Experience of preparing briefings, policy documents, and presentations, with the ability to take detailed notes in stakeholder meetings.
  • Excellent understanding of governance processes, including managing conflicts of interest.
