About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Children's Worker to join our team at Shire Healthcare. As a Senior Residential Children's Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to children with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a children's home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend staff meetings and supervisions to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the team.
  • Be accountable for decisions regarding the welfare of children and staff members during shifts, demonstrating a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Discuss staffing matters with the Manager, providing input on staffing levels and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all staff members are kept up-to-date with changes to procedures, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide support using a person-centred approach, focusing on the individual needs and well-being of each child.
  • Safeguard vulnerable children, reporting any suspicions or evidence of harm to the relevant authorities.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Cover other homes when required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £33,000 - £37,000 per year.
