Deputy Manager - Children's Residential

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Horizon Care and Education. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in upholding our standards of care, fostering growth, and inspiring positive change in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Residential Manager to ensure the home aligns with our values and standards.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team, promoting their professional development and individual growth.
  • Oversee colleague management, including appraisals, supervision, and training adherence.
  • Manage health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and ensure all necessary training is completed.
  • Deliver relationship-based, person-centered care as part of a small team, working a combination of day, evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
  • Financial management of the home.
  • Environment management.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Upholding professional care practices.

Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • At least 1 year's experience of senior support work in a children's residential setting.
